DeSah: Simferopol

Simferopol is home to a large sports complex which includes a boarding school for 188 pupils. The complex will be expanded to double its capacity.
A system with separate waste water collection for grey and black water is installed.

Simferopol is located on the Black Sea. The Black Sea is particularly vulnerable to eutrophication due to its isolated location. The discharge of wastewater into surface water causes a strong growth and multiplication of certain species due to the excess of nutrients in the water, whereby these species supersede other species and usually reduce the species richness or biodiversity.
From a nature conservation point of view, it is therefore of great importance that wastewater is processed in a responsible manner.
